Colors of Amber
Baltic amber jewelry comes in a large variety of colors. The stones selected for the designs come in natural hues that are determined by the components of the trees from which they originated as well as the transformations they went through when they were resting either underground or submerged in the Baltic Sea. In their resting places they went through various chemical and physical changes which dictated their current morphology.
Below are the known natural colors of amber:

Cherry -
think of this color as a more saturated cognac amber. It it a rich
beautiful and captivating color. The amber jewelry using this cherry

Cognac or Honey - as the name implies, cognac or honey amber is just that, the color of honey or cognac. I can vary slightly in lightness/darkness but in general the color is unmistakable. The honey is typically much lighter

Green - there is a color of amber that is considered green, but it is not the green that most people have seen in stores. The natural green is very light in color and almost looks yellow.
